Automated Vacuum Brazing / Soldering Machine
Vacuum Brazing Machines VVBM150 and VVBM200, precise, reliable, ready for 24/7 production
IEW Induktive Erwärmungsanlagen GmbH originates from induction heating, since our founding we have focused deeply on brazing technology. In 2018 we introduced the VVBM200, a vertical vacuum brazing machine. For small and medium sized companies with lower overall volume we have been offering the VVBM150 since 2022 as a compact and cost effective solution.
Why vacuum brazing with IEW
IEW vacuum brazing machines combine robust mechanical design, clean process control, and simple operation. The result is repeatable, high strength joints with excellent surfaces and no discoloration, ready for immediate downstream processing.
- Vertical vacuum chamber, usable length up to 350 mm on VVBM200, 240 mm on VVBM150
- Flexible multi level loading, level spacing about 25 mm
- Three zone temperature control, temperature homogeneity typically below 10 °C within the chamber
- Quartz glass chamber, metal free where possible, minimal contamination, excellent component quality
- Integrated sight window for process control and rapid process development
- Remote access on both models for service and support
Exclusive on VVBM200
- Partial pressure control for higher temperature processes, prevents silver outgassing in active brazing alloys, crucial for maximum strength on materials such as MCD and CVD
- Optional active nitrogen cooling, reduces total cycle time significantly
Applications and materials
Hard and soft brazing of PKD, CBN, MCD, CVD, carbide, ceramics, and complex assemblies of dissimilar metals. Ideal for cutting tool production, dental, precision components, series production in SMEs, and prototype work with fast time to process.

FAQ
What is the difference between VVBM150 and VVBM200
VVBM200 offers 350 mm usable part length and includes partial pressure control plus optional nitrogen cooling. VVBM150 is more compact, 240 mm usable length, optimized for lower to medium throughput.
Why a vertical vacuum chamber
The vertical layout uses chamber length efficiently, enables multi level loading, and supports excellent temperature uniformity.
Why a quartz glass chamber
Quartz minimizes contamination and avoids metal surfaces near the parts, this improves surface quality and prevents discoloration.
What is partial pressure control for
It stabilizes high temperature brazing and prevents silver outgassing in active alloys, which increases joint strength, especially with MCD and CVD.
How does nitrogen cooling help
It shortens the cooling phase and reduces total cycle time while maintaining part quality.
